Can my employer help me?
Why not talk to your employer about the training opportunities in your workplace?
Train to Gain
With the Learning Skills Council’s ‘Train to Gain’ programme, businesses are advised on how training can improve the skills of their employees and raise business performance. This is good news for would-be learners – and 88,000 employers are already on board.
Skills Pledge
Many of Britain’s leading businesses have also signed the ‘Skills Pledge’ to demonstrate their commitment to training and supporting their staff. More than 4,000,000 of us are already working for companies who have signed up.
So if you’re an employee looking to improve the skills you need in order to carry out your work more effectively, then you could find that your employer will be ready and willing to support you.
Why not talk to your employer now to find out how they can help?
Apprenticeships
There are also many Apprenticeships schemes to choose from. As Complete Computer Systems says, “We support individuals in a working environment, enabling them to gain experience and become truly marketable. We take great pride in our apprentices.”
Meanwhile, Richard Hallsworth, Managing Director at Slack & Parr says their Apprenticeship programme is now, more than ever, “the life blood of the company”.
